Maddam Ink has hard Driving Riffs, Big Catchy Hooks, and Impassioned Live Shows, are only the tip of the iceberg in an attempt to describe the wildly popular East Greenville, Pennsylvania based alternative rock outfit Maddam Ink. The band formed in 2004 by lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and songwriter Adam Burke, is making considerable ground in their quest to the top.

While the act sights influences from a variety of classic and hard rock bands including Led Zeppelin, Chevelle, Stained, and Stone Temple Pilots there is one fact that remains; their sound is a one of a kind, a totally unique and original project; modern rock at its’ indefinable best. Their radio friendly songs span many styles and can easily share a spin list with the likes of Breaking Benjamin, Incubus, Three Days Grace, Halestorm, Sick Puppies and Crossfade, just to name a few.

While Burke is the group’s undisputed leader and front man, he is joined in the band by three seasoned musicians, lead guitarist and back vocalist Kevin Rausch, bassist and back vocalist Steve Benecke, and Kyle Young on drums. The trio provides the killer rhythm section driving Burkes’ powerful, red hot vocals.

While the major majority of the songwriting is done by rhythm guitarist Adam Burke, the band’s lead guitarist Kevin Rausch has been known to devise a few clever catchy riffs of his own, which have turned into full songs and become part of the bands repertoire. “The songs I write”, states Burke, “are done primarily on the acoustic guitar. I used to play it all the time and I’m very comfortable with it in the songwriting process.

Since the inception of the band, they have performed many high profile venue gigs, concerts, and festivals. In 2007 they shared the stage and an audience of 50,000 fans, with Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, and Shadows Fall, on the “Heaven and Hell Tour / LocoFest at The Tweeter Center in Manchester, NH. The band, no stranger to the big stage, has also supported many other national acts such as Fuel, Nonpoint, Alien Ant Farm, Eve 6, Days of the New, Cold, Black Stone Cherry, Cavo, Evens Blue, Thin Lizzy, Pop Evil, Crossfade and many others.

In 2006 the band recorded and independently released their self-titled debut full length CD. The record did relatively well on a local basis. “I’m pretty sure the album would have done much better on a regional and national basis”, stated band leader Adam Burke, “if we had actually hired the right people to market and promote it. But it was only the first of many more to come and we were happy with the outcome”. The record release party was a huge success with a turnout of over 800 fans at the Crocodile Rock venue in Allentown, PA. “That’s still a record for turn-out at that venue for relatively unknown independent artists to my knowledge” said Burke.

In 2010 Maddam Ink released their sophomore full length aptly titled “Inklination ” produced by Grammy™ nominated engineer/producer David Ivory (Halestorm /Atlantic Records, SilverTide / Sony/ BMG, and The Roots), and exhibits their best work to date. Mindful of the need for professional marketing and promotion for “Inklination”, and leaving no stone unturned this time around, the band engaged Philadelphia based Allure Media Entertainment Group, Inc,.

Maddam Ink’s fan base and market reach continues to explode on a daily basis. This dynamic band differs from most independent bands in that they definitely do not intend to become the consummate Flash-in-the-Pan. With insurmountable determination and solid backing they are set to blow up big in 2012 and beyond. You really need to keep your eyes and ears open for this hard-hitting rock outfit.

Alana Marie has a voice that can soothe you with a sweet lullaby or give you goose bumps with a power pop driven tune.  Her intoxicating sound, her energy, contagious all-out performance and her striking presence are unforgettable.
“Liquid Love” her debut CD, released worldwide last year, and counts with outstanding musicianship, impeccable production and a selection of songs that make it hard to choose a favorite! Alana Marie grabs you with some of the best American Music Heritage and spices it up with a little taste of Brazilian flavor.  All with a true rock, pop / adult contemporary language. Her words are intuitively smart, and yet precisely simple...with pure and soulful melodies.  This combination captivates a cross-range of listeners, across ages, across countries. Such wide reach has been proven by her latest collaborations.

Alana Marie is a featured guest on Brazilian multi-platinum star Zé Ramalho’s (Sony Music) CD “Parceria dos Viajantes".  On a track arranged by Franco Sattamini and produced by legendary multi-platinum artist, Robertinho de Recife, the CD received a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best MPB Album. She was honored to lend her lush and soulful vocals to this release. Out of this collaboration, Zé Ramalho then, lent his incredible talent, voice and character to the bonus track, “God’s Whispers”, to her CD, “Liquid Love. Also on Liquid love, the legendary guitar of Robertinho de Recife and the Billboard “top 10-charting” soulful guitar of Torcuato Mariano - Rockin!

Side-by-side with greats such as Phil Woods, she is also featured on Christmas in Rhythm & Bossa, her new favorite Christmas CD.Working with Bossa Nova co-inventor Roberto Menescal, and Raymundo Bittencourt at Albatroz Records in Brazil, she enjoys being one of the American voices of the new Brazilian Music Movement. Alana Marie is the lead artist on dozens of their tracks released by several record labels in Europe and Asia, soon coming to the US. Alana Marie’s voice can also be heard in short film soundtracks, by composer Keith Crane, such as “Living in Strength” (with Magic Johnson, Leeza Gibbons, Larry King, and Montel Williams) “In The Company of Angels” (Eric McCormack, from Will & Grace), and Cover Girl’s, “Beauty and The Brand” (with Queen Latifah and Christie Brinkley) All this talent comes packed in a bundle with one of the kindest hearts you will ever find in this industry. Alana Marie contributes with her work to charitable events as well. She is a co-founder of “Rock for UCP" a program that has brought funds and hope to those affected by Cerebral Palsy. She also contributed with her music to The Rhythm & Blues Foundation, Children with Autism, Central Parents Association for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired, Rick Weiss AIDS Foundation, benefits for NYC Police, Project Angel Food and more.

John Donovan has received levels of recognition never before earned by a live musician in the DJ industry and has achieved them in just a little over four years since his days of working traditional drum kit gigs.  John is featured in the March 2012 issue of DJ Times Magazine, and has been a featured performer at the two largest DJ expos in the world: The DJ Times Expo in Atlantic City and The Mobile Beat Expo in Las Vegas. In 2012 John performed in a drumline with the celebrity band 311 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Whether it’s 16,000 guests or 50, John delivers as ONLY a DCI World Champion can.

John performs with DJ’S at high end nightclub style events, as a lead percussion entertainer.  John has worked with DJ Nick Hogan, son of celebrity Professional Wrestling Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. While performing along DJ’S in the private and public club scene is almost exclusively reserved for Latin Percussionists, John’s Rudimental “Corps-Style”percussion application is both pioneering in the percussion industry, and historical. John Donovan is possibly the only full time commercial, freelance individual Multi-Tenor player on the planet. Employment as a Multi-Tenor player, whether it be with military, pro sport teams, amusement park or other independent organizations is almost exclusively reserved for professional groups of more than one. John considers it an honor to possibly be the one responsible for commercializing the Multi-Tenor instrument. With over 500 private events and night club gigs to his credit in several states coast to coast, John Donovan is the perfect upgrade to your entertainment package. His surprise interactive set near the end of your event will give your guests an interactive experience like none other!

Before John’s big break in New York’s private event market, he worked with professional dance bands, rock and metal bands, jazz bands, musical theater pit orchestras, amusement park marching bands and cruise ship orchestras.  John credits his diverse background in influencing him to be the dynamic entertainer he is today. In 2002, John performed with One Man Religion, which opened for internationally recognized Metal band, Breaking Benjamin.

Like most drummers, John began by playing rock and roll, but everything changed when at age 16 he saw his first Drum Corps International (DCI) drumline. From the moment he dedicated himself to this extreme form of mental and physical conditioning, his value as a professional increased exponentially. John sees himself as a cyborg – a dynamic embodiment of drumline and drumset. Through intense DCA and DCI drumline training supplemented with regimented personal practice, he mastered rudimental snare, tenor and bass drumming. The resulting wizardry of flashy machine-like execution and musical depth has proven addictive – and lucrative.  John received his training with Pioneer (1996 DCI Division II World Percussion Champions), Jersey Surf and The Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps. A music business graduate of McNally Smith College of Music, formerly known as MusicTech, John has also served as composer, arranger, instructor, and manager for drumlines across the Northeast and Midwest.

John’s brisk success in New York has earned invitations as a clinician for the Sam Ash Music Chain and The New York Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society, sharing the stage with snare drummer Nick Angelis of Tony and Emmy award winning BLAST! John was featured in Modern Drummer Magazine (Kit of the Month - March 2008), Mentioned in Percussion News several times and is a performing artist and clinician for Mapex Marching Percussion, Paiste, Vater and Slug. D-Train is a 24 year old musical artist, who was born in Brooklyn, NY but spent most of his childhood in East Stroudsburg, PA. He moved to PA at a very young age where he felt as though he was an outcast within the schools, along with the town because of the fact that he was the only minority. Thankfully, though he felt like an outcast to the town, he was treated like family to his neighbors; therefore, they played a major role in his life, growing up made things hard but his neighbor made things bearable. At this stage in his life, D-Train discovered his talent and love for poetry along with his name throughout middle school.
As he graduated from middle school, enrolling into high school, things were completely different as well as the neighborhood. More minorities moved in town therefore making bigger shoes to be filled, but yet D-Train had no intentions of filling those shoes. At that point in his life he was working on his lyrics but practicing on combining poetry with Hip Hop but without a beat, also known as accapella. In the meantime he dealt with small time dealings along with several obstacles which threw him off track for 3 years, one day he happen to hit one obstacle head on; that’s when all of his love and interest in poetry came to an halt. From that day forth D-Train knew he had to make a change in his life and that change was the United States Army.
Returning from the Army’s basic training, D-Train decided to take advantage of the benefits the Army has to offer and enroll in college. 2 years after the enrollment of college and making several very close friends; this has helped him rekindle his love for poetry only this time adding a beat to flow with. His friends played a major role in the new beginning of D-Train’s return, so from 2009 to 2010 he has remained dormant….. until now.

Drew Whelan is a Singer/Songwriter/Producer Who Plays Guitar, Bass and Keys. Born in 1985 in Great Meadows, New Jersey.

He's influenced by the new and the old, from big sonic rock guitar to cutting edge dance beats, textured synths interwoven with fat bass lines that can shake the ground on which we stand...

Drew discovered his parents’ record collection, at a very young age - Led Zeppelin, Iron Butterfly, Yes, and Joni Mitchell were played very often as he was growing up! But in that collection he indulged in so many forms of sound, from the blues, jazz, rock, folk, just to name a few. He would spend hours going through them, taking in the cover art, the concept, imagining what could possibly be in the heart of the record once he laid the needle on the first track...More often than not he was wildly surprised! It was quite an escape for him, like traveling to another dimension and he could go there any time he wanted. He would just hit play and off he'd go into another world!

Growing up, Drew was not the most astute student in school. He only seemed to care about the things that interested him and his brothers... the things that seemed to shimmer and pop. "I think I was a professional day dreamer and bubble gum chewer in those days" - Drew Whelan - He could’t wait to get home to let his imagination soar, playing li’l diddies that he layed down onto tape which tended to be given as gifts to friends and girls I was interested in at the time. It was my way of being a part of the collective...which brings him to his first real introduction to a live instrument. Involved in the school band, heed vividly remember making (THE) choice over what instrument reflected his personality! He was all about the saxaphone! He loved the sound, tone and range. He don‘t think it was really a big stretch crossing over to the stratocaster eventually.

A little bit later he came to discover the magic of electric guitar while at a friend’s house and his Mother’s acoustic guitar that his Father had gifted her. Since that moment he was enthralled and got his first electric guitar as a birthday present. He passionately dug in for long hours that seemed to slip away without second thought. All through high school he devoted all of his free time to the art of recording.

Over the years, Drew retained that same love and devotion to his craft, studying at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, California for a brief time, honing the technical...and straight shootin’ from the hip! All of which has allowed him to pull from a very wide range of interests and influences, leading him into different territories musically. Drew is constantly evolving with the tides and changes of style and culture! He believes there is something to appeal to all age groups in his music as those barriers seem to be slipping away.

His sound has been related to the likes of Bono from U2, Bruno Mars, John Mayer, Radiohead, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, The Gorillaz and Mark Ronson...Projects + Collaborations (to include and exceed)

Drew has played with such people as: Alex Orbison, Navarone Garabaldi, Zak Ambrose, Mike Burns, Swayze, Duane Betts, John Donovan and Olivia Newton John’s Daughter Chloe

Past Bands:
New Days Rising
The Reverberating Sun Amber Rose
Organic Time Machine
